I moved to Marshfield from South Wales in March 2019. The initial attraction was the close proximity to the M4, however my family have settled and love living in Marshfield. My children both attend Marshfield Primary School and we are here to stay!! I have been struck by the sense of community within the town. My children have made many friends and we have all been made to feel very welcome. I am keen to become an active member of the community contributing in projects or activities that I believe are worthwhile. The land trust operates for the benefit of the local community and it is so important that the community feels that it has an input into what the local land is used for and that it is in their interest. The current project is hugely significant for the area, as identified there is a lack of affordable housing within the town. It is vital as a community to have a blend of incomes and demographics. The cost of renting a house in the town is beyond the reach of many young and lower income families and this project is needed to support the development of Marshfield in the long term. A qualified Accountant by trade I have progressed to a Financial Controller. Having worked in a variety of industries: retail, distribution, manufacturing and now asset finance. I am highly commercial by nature and with a desire to get stuck in.
